My journey to clarity
Success almost cost me everything.
Years ago, I had what many would call a dream life. By 25, I was earning a six-figure salary as the Director of International Business Development for all of Latin America, at an international insurance and investments company. I was opening new markets in South America and bringing in millions of dollars in sales, all within my first year in the role.
But behind the numbers, I was struggling. The chronic stress was heavy. My health began to fail. I had severe stomach issues, and a doctor told me I would need to take pills for the rest of my life. I was successful on the outside, but I had no peace on the inside. I was working in a way that did not match who I really am.
“Success obtained by sacrificing your health, your peace, and your happiness is not success. It is the greatest possible failure.”
So I made a choice. I left the corporate world to find a better way to live and work. I trained in coaching and emotional intelligence. I studied meditation and somatic healing. And I realized that business problems are almost always human problems. If we want our businesses to run well, we have to help the humans run well first.
That is why I created Pazitud, an attitude of peace. I was born in Cuba, where simply starting a business could get you arrested, so freedom has never been abstract to me. It is the whole point. Today I do not just help companies set up technology. I help them build systems that protect their people, their time, and their peace, so they are free to build the life they actually want, with the right tools, including AI.
